Gas boilers may occasionally experience abnormal situations due to improper operation by staff. How should these issues be handled? Let's see what the boiler technology has to say.
If only the circulation pump of the gas boiler malfunctions, such as a drop in current, the pump outlet pressure returns to zero. At this point, it indicates that the pump is running idle and no oil is being supplied, which may be due to oil evaporation. Therefore, it is necessary to first identify the cause of vaporization and take relevant measures.
2. If the circulation pump pressure of the boiler remains constant but the current increases and the flow rate decreases, it indicates that the thermal conductive fluid has deteriorated and its viscosity has increased. It should be replaced promptly. If new heat conductive fluid contains water or decomposed gases that have not been expelled from the system, immediately open the vent valve to release the gas. When the current of the circulation pump is lower than the normal value, it suggests that the efficiency of the circulation pump has decreased, and the flow rate has decreased, which may be due to scaling and blockage in the heating pipeline. The stainless steel chain should be cleaned.
3. An increase in the pressure difference before and after the filter in a gas-fired steam boiler, along with a decrease in pump inlet pressure, may indicate a blocked filter screen. The bypass should be activated, and the filter should be disassembled and cleaned. Additionally, the low outlet temperature of the liquid phase heat carrier boiler and insufficient heat supply are primarily due to dust accumulation, and it is necessary to perform dust blowing promptly.
4. Abnormal combustion manifests as secondary combustion at the end of the flue, and is often found in oil-gas and coal powder boilers. This is due to unburnt objects adhering to the heating surface, which, under specific conditions, reignite and burn. Solutions: Stop fuel supply, implement an emergency shutdown, tightly close the flue, dampers, and all door openings. Strictly prohibit the operation of the induced draft fan. Introduce a fire extinguishing device at the tail or use a steam extinguisher for extinguishing. Enhance water supply and drainage for the gas boiler to ensure the economizer is not damaged. Only after extinguishing the fire can the door openings be opened for inspection.
