However, for those with high power output, theoretically, they can also be manually started, but it's truly a task that no one can perform easily. The effort required is beyond what an average person can handle. Therefore, during our regular use, we must not only maintain the generator sets but also remember to take care of the batteries on a daily basis.

  1Wipe the external surface of the battery with a damp cloth, and clean the panel and posts.(Positive and negative poles)Clean away dust, oil, white powder, and other conductive contaminants that can cause leaks. Regularly wiping down the battery will prevent the accumulation of white acidic corrosion powder on the battery posts, thereby extending its lifespan. 

 2Open the battery cap and check if the water level is at the normal position. There are usually upper and lower line markings on the side of the battery for reference. If you find the water level below the lower line, you must add distilled water. If you can't get distilled water immediately, you can use filtered tap water as a temporary solution. Don't add too much water; the standard is to fill it to the middle between the upper and lower lines.

  3Check the battery to ensure it's properly charged. If you have a multimeter, after starting the diesel generator set, measure the voltage between the battery's two terminals; it must exceed13VAbove is considered normal. If you find that the charging voltage is too low, it's necessary to have a professional inspect the charging system. If you don't have a multi-meter, you can use the visual inspection method.:After starting the engine, open the battery water cap and check for bubbles in each compartment. Normally, bubbles should continuously rise to the surface, and more should appear as more oil is added; if no bubbles are observed, it's likely there's an issue with the charging system. Be especially cautious when conducting this test, as hydrogen gas is produced, so smoking is strictly prohibited to avoid the risk of explosion and fire.
