Aerogel mat is a flexible thermal insulation material primarily composed of nano-silica aerogel, compounded with glass fiber insulation cotton through special processes. It boasts low thermal conductivity, certain tensile and compressive strength, and is convenient for thermal insulation applications, making it a new type of insulation material. The aerogel mat is currently the lowest thermal conductivity solid thermal insulation material within a temperature range of about 400°C. It features softness, ease of cutting, low density, inorganic fire resistance, overall hydrophobicity, and green environmental protection. It can replace traditional, environmentally unfriendly, and low-performance flexible thermal insulation materials such as glass fiber products, asbestos thermal insulation mats, and silicate fiber products.
Aerogel mats are primarily used for industrial pipelines, storage tanks, furnace bodies, power plants, lifeboats, naval ship hulls, high-speed trains, buried pipelines, injection molding machines, removable thermal insulation covers, high-temperature steam pipelines for heavy oil extraction, transportation, household appliances, iron and steel, non-ferrous metals, and other fields for thermal insulation and heat preservation.
