Recently, in the list of companies recognized in the electric single-beam crane industry for construction machinery, China takes up four slots. Among them, Xugong Group, a construction machinery enterprise, ranks third, followed by Zoomlion, Sany Heavy Industry, and Fushun Heavy Industry in fifth, seventh, and tenth places, respectively. The crane industry in China will play an increasingly significant role on the global stage.
Although our country has already become an exporter of crane market and small-tonnage crane products, the competitiveness of ultra-large tonnage cranes is still insufficient, with engines, hydraulic components, and electrical control systems remaining as development hurdles. Breakthroughs in ultra-large tonnage technology are largely reliant on domestically established large enterprises with strong technical capabilities, as large-tonnage products are technology-driven, and small and medium-sized enterprises may lack the technical expertise and financial backing.
XCMG, Sany, Zoomlion, and Fushun Heavy Industry have all broken through the 1,000-tonne barrier. This means that the four leading manufacturers in the crawler crane industry have achieved a significant technological breakthrough. On a scale basis, truck-mounted cranes occupy a larger market share, making it even more crucial for the four companies in the lineup to excel both internally and externally. They must not only confront fierce competition from the domestic market's scaling-up but also face technical competition from international firms. To some extent, the share of the overseas market is a decisive factor for the future development of construction machinery companies.
As infrastructure construction in power, petrochemical, steel, and transportation reaches a peak, the domestic electric hoist bridge crane market is rapidly expanding. The trend of larger cranes has become an irreversible fact. Moreover, crane companies can ensure contract fulfillment, achieve on-time product delivery, establish overseas service centers, enhance after-sales service for exported products, improve recognition among overseas customers, and continuously refine after-sales processes to boost market share through superior service.
Industry niche markets are beginning to emerge, with refined operations being the direction for future corporate development. As a result, providing products tailored to different fields and to a large extent satisfying their unique needs has become the next step for most brand companies. Not only is the electric hoist bridge crane industry shifting towards a customer-centric marketing philosophy, but the entire construction equipment industry is continuously enhancing its sales approach and transforming its development model.
