Sintered bricks offer both strength and excellent thermal and sound insulation properties, preventing condensation on interior walls during winter and are also cost-effective. Despite the emergence of various new wall materials, sintered bricks will continue to be a primary material for construction purposes in the coming period.
Sintered bricks are suitable for structural maintenance in buildings, including the construction of columns, arches, chimneys, kiln bodies, channels, and foundations. They can be paired with insulating materials such as lightweight aggregates concrete, aerated concrete, and rock wool to form lightweight walls with bricks on both sides and lightweight fillings in between. Appropriate steel bars or steel mesh can be incorporated into the masonry to create reinforced masonry structures, which can replace reinforced concrete columns and beams. High-quality sintered bricks are used for the construction of solid walls, while first-class and qualified bricks are suitable for mixed water walls. Bricks with moderate efflorescence should not be used in damp areas.
