Important Considerations for Cleaning Cleanroom Workwear. Typically, cleanroom workwear in a dust-free factory should be washed at least once a week, with some high-demand jobs requiring daily washing.
During regular room cleaning, dust, bacteria, and contamination from detergents can adhere. Additionally, during packaging and handling, there's a risk of dust and microorganisms attaching. The cleaning of cleanroom garments is typically performed by professional cleaning companies. Here are the precautions to take when cleaning cleanroom garments in a cleanroom:
1. The newly sewn cleanroom garments can be washed directly, while used cleanroom garments with oil stains should be cleaned thoroughly before washing.
Before washing, inspect for any damaged, torn, or fastener accessories; repair, replace, or discard those with defects.
3. The cleaning, drying, and packaging must be conducted in a cleanroom with a higher cleanliness level than the one used for work uniforms.
4. Water used for wet and dry cleaning must be filtered, and solvents should be distilled before use. Apply a filter membrane with a pore size less than 0.2μm at the point of use, and perform one or more filtrations as needed.
To remove water-soluble pollutants, wash with clean water first, then use distilled solvent for washing to eliminate oil-based pollutants.
6. Wet washing water temperatures: Polyester fabric - 60-70°C, High 70°C. Nylon fabric - 50-55°C, High 60°C.
7. During the rinse cycle, an anti-static agent can be used to enhance anti-static properties; however, the chosen anti-static agent should bond well with the fibers without causing any dust shedding.

After drying, the products are neatly stacked in a cleanroom specifically designed for laundry, and then packed into dust-free polyester or nylon bags. Double packaging or vacuum sealing can be done as required, using anti-static materials with good properties. Due to the tendency to generate dust during the folding process, this operation must be conducted in a higher-grade cleanroom, such as a 100-class cleanroom environment for folding and packaging of 100-level cleanroom apparel, which should be carried out in a 10-class environment.
