A sound level meter is a fundamental noise measurement instrument, with sound pressure level measurement being its primary function. Many single-function sound level meters are also commonly referred to as "decibel meters" or "noise meters" and the like. It is an electronic device, yet it differs from objective electronic instruments like voltmeters.
During the conversion of sound signals into electrical signals, it can simulate the time characteristics of human ears' response to sound waves; the frequency characteristics with different sensitivities to high and low frequencies; and the intensity characteristics of frequency changes at different loudness levels.
The portable vibration meter is designed for measuring vibrations in machinery, particularly in rotating and reciprocating machines. It can measure three parameters: vibration displacement, velocity, and acceleration.
Using data measured on the bearing housing with this instrument, in comparison to the standard ISO 2372 or the company's own machine standards, the condition of the equipment can be determined.
