The wastewater pumping station consists of a格栅间 (grating chamber), a集水池 (collecting pool), a machine room, water intake and outlet pipelines, a transformer and distribution room, an on-duty room, a tool room, a lavatory, and an emergency outflow port. The格栅间 (grating chamber) is equipped with a steel grating (also known as a trash rack) with gaps at the wastewater intake to trap debris and prevent it from blocking the wastewater pump. A mechanical rake for manual operation or automatic operation by water level control is installed on the grating to periodically or timely remove debris trapped on the grating. The集水池 (collecting pool) serves both water collection and storage purposes to meet the water volume required for the wastewater pump to start. The volume of the collecting pool is generally not less than the discharge volume of one pump for 5 minutes. The machine room is equipped with wastewater pumps, motors, intake and outlet parts, gates, and other auxiliary equipment. The transformer and distribution room is equipped with power transformers and distribution equipment.
