Diesel engines are experiencing high coolant temperature warnings and even shutdowns during high-load operation.
Reason for the Fault:
Insufficient coolant in the reservoir has led to inadequate radiator cooling capacity.
2. Insufficient engine oil or lack of oil in the crankcase
3. Faulty coolant temperature sensor, resulting in inaccurate or elevated detection values.
4. The radiator ventilation channels were blocked, resulting in reduced cooling air circulation and a decline in the cooling tank's heat dissipation capacity.
The drive belt of the cooling fan is loose, resulting in insufficient fan speed and a decreased cooling ability of the water tank.
6. Engine thermostat malfunction led to the failure to activate the large circulation when the engine coolant temperature rose, resulting in excessively high coolant temperature.
7. The coolant circulation pump malfunctioned, resulting in improper coolant circulation and excessive temperatures.
Troubleshooting Methods:
Open the water tank lid while the unit is off, check the coolant level inside the tank. Generally, the level should be reached by the tip of your index finger inserted into the tank. If it's not, please add more coolant.
2. Check the oil gauge scale to ensure the oil level is between the L and H marks, closer to H, after the engine has been turned off for 5 minutes. If it's below, please top up with the same type of oil to the specified level.
3. Inspect the wiring on the temperature sensor to ensure it's securely connected. Measure the resistance of the temperature sensor and record the corresponding temperature display value. Compare it with the table below; if there's a significant discrepancy, replace the temperature sensor.
4. Inspect the radiator fins of the water tank, and if there is a significant amount of oil or dust blocking the ventilation holes, please clean the radiator to ensure proper ventilation.
5. Inspect the condition of the radiator fan belt for wear and tension, replace or tighten as needed.
6. Replace the thermostat.
7. Inspect the pump impeller; replace the pump if damaged.
