Below is a list of potential traps one might encounter during the moving process, specifically, pitfalls that homeowners planning to move should be aware of to avoid affecting their mood and daily work life!
Trick 1: Workers "take the bait" during relocation, switch to another company shortly after the heist.
Trap Two: After setting the price, additional charges are added based on the floor level upon arrival.
Trick Three: Additional charges for oversized items. This was not previously disclosed; instead, they informed on-site that there would be extra fees for moving large items, such as televisions, refrigerators, and washing machines over 32 inches, typically costing 50 yuan per item.
Trap Four: Agree on a moving price, then switch to charging by the vehicle after arrival.
Trap Five: Charge per vehicle load, unnecessarily filling two vehicles when one would suffice.
Trap Six: Additional fees apply for parking at the unit entrance. It costs extra to move a vehicle from the community entrance to the upper level, and there is an additional charge to park at the unit entrance.
Trick Seven: If negotiating prices, the care in handling goods is lacking.
Trap Eight: No receipt provided, and money is still demanded after payment. Due to the lack of a receipt, someone else comes to demand money afterward, claiming, "I never paid."
Trick Nine: No Contract, Unresponsible During Moving. Without a signed contract, employers lack protection, and workers may move items carelessly or damage them.
Trap Ten: Reneging on promises, agreeing to move to the upper floor, then claiming the height is too much and extra payment is required.
All movers should be responsible for their work and for their customers; also, we advise homeowners to be cautious during the move and avoid accidentally falling into traps!
