Plastic drainage boards are manufactured by pressing a polyethylene (HDPE)塑胶底板 into conical ribs or reinforced ridges (or hollow cylindrical porous shapes). Through continuous innovation and R&D, the material has undergone significant improvements and transformations. Now, they are produced using polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as the raw material, resulting in a substantial increase in compressive strength and overall flatness. The widths range from 1 to 3 meters, and the lengths are from 4 to 10 meters or more.
The top surface of the conical boss is bonded with a layer of filter geotextile to prevent soil particles from passing through, thereby ensuring smooth drainage through the channels and avoiding blockages. Traditional drainage methods employ bricks, tiles, and stones as a filter layer, use a large amount of cobblestone or gravel as a water filtration layer, and discharge water to designated locations. However, using drainage boards instead of cobblestone filtration layers for drainage saves time and effort, conserves energy, reduces investment, and also lowers the load on the building.
A good drainage system plays a crucial role in the construction period, the normal use, and the lifespan of structures. The drainage board and porous drainage pipes form an effective drainage system, while the cylindrical drainage board and geotextile also constitute a drainage system, thus creating a system with functions of seepage, storage, and drainage.
