The Importance of Empty Belt Cleaner Introduction
Polyurethane gap cleaner is used to remove debris that falls onto the non-working surface beneath the conveyor belt to protect the redirection roller and the belt. The locations requiring the installation of a polyurethane gap cleaner are before the tail redirection roller and before a 90° redirection roller in front of the vertical tensioning device. During installation, the trowel tip of the cleaner should face the direction of the conveyor belt movement to effectively sweep the debris onto the ground on both sides of the conveyor.

Materials conveyed by the conveyor belt often contain sticky substances such as coal dust, sludge, and powdered materials. Some of these substances adhere to the working surface of the conveyor belt, and cannot be completely removed during unloading. As the belt rotates, they can stick to the idlers, leading to the following consequences over time:
1. Material entering the housing of the roller increases bearing wear. Material sticking to the roller housing can damage and abrade the surface胶 of the conveyor belt, accelerating the belt's deterioration.
2. Adhesives enter the tail pulley and redirecting drum, causing materials to adhere to the drum surface, with more and more accumulation. This leads to conveyor belt misalignment and increased wear, resulting in adverse consequences.
3. Material sticking to the drive roller increases friction on the roller, which can cause damage to the conveyor belt's surface rubber and the roller's rubber covering.
4. Failure to promptly clear materials will result in a drop zone throughout the work channel, causing environmental pollution, increasing cleaning labor, affecting employee health and well-being, and boosting corporate costs. Therefore, to ensure the normal operation of the medium-coal belt conveyor, it is essential to clean the adhered materials from the conveyor belt. If the cleaning equipment is in good condition, it can also extend the lifespan of components like idlers and conveyor belts.
