The ornamental pine is a deciduous shrub tree species, with a crown shaped as a circle or an umbrella, and a height not exceeding fifteen meters. It is rather straight and slender, with a darker wood color, suitable for extracting dyes. Its leaves are round or ovate, leathery, alternate, with a楔-shaped base, pinnately deeply lobed, and vibrant colors. Since the bark of the tree can be used to produce tannin and the branches and trunks can be used for making furniture, etc., the price of ornamental pine has been continuously rising.
Growth Habit
The oil pine is not fond of sunlight; during its growth period, only a small amount of light is needed. It is a shade-tolerant species, preferring warm and dry growing conditions, and is suitable for growth in shaded environments. The trees are relatively drought-resistant but not tolerant of waterlogging, so they cannot grow in waterlogged soil and must be planted in well-drained areas.
