The working principle of photo-catalytic waste gas purification equipment: Under the action of external visible light or ultraviolet light inside the equipment, catalytic oxidation occurs. The photo-catalytic oxidation reaction utilizes nano-TiO2 dioxide as the catalyst, with light as the energy source, to decompose organic matter and degrade it into CO2 and H2O. During the photo-catalytic oxidation process, under the illumination of ultraviolet light at 253.7nm, the nano-TiO2 catalyst plate absorbs light energy and simultaneously produces electron and hole jumps. After strong combination of these jumps, electron-hole pairs are formed, which generally react with surface adsorbed H2O and O2 to generate highly reactive hydroxyl radicals (OH-) and superoxide ion radicals (O2-, O-). This process directly oxidizes various harmful gases and other TVOC organic substances in the air into small molecules like H2O and CO2. Since the oxidizing agents used are H2O and O2 from the air, no secondary pollution is produced.For example, using ultraviolet light beams at the 185nm wavelength to decompose oxygen molecules in the air into free oxygen, or reactive oxygen species. Due to the unbalanced positive and negative electrons in the free oxygen, it needs to bind with oxygen molecules, thereby producing ozone. UV + O2 + O- + O* (reactive oxygen) → O + O2 + O3 (ozone). As is well-known, ozone has a strong oxidizing effect on organic matter, providing immediate purification effects on industrial waste gases and other small molecules. After treatment by photo-oxidation catalytic waste gas purification equipment, organic waste gases can be decomposed into H2O and CO2, and the efficiency of organic waste gas treatment can reach over 85%.
