Mechanical格栅Sewage Screening Machine (abbreviated as Mechanical Grate), intercepts and removes various solid particles and floating debris in the preliminary stage of wastewater treatment, ensuring the smooth progress of subsequent treatment processes. It is a crucial equipment for intercepting pollutants and removing sludge in the treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater, such as in textile, papermaking, food, leather, and other industries. It is a widely applicable sewage removal device.
The self-cleaning grate cleaner is composed of a frame, a driving device, a toothed耙, and a transmission chain. Special-shaped teeth made of ABS engineering plastic, nylon 6, nylon 1010, or stainless steel without teeth are assembled in a certain order on the toothed耙, forming a closed tooth chain. The underwater screen (toothed耙) intercepts pollutants along the track, and when it reaches the top, due to the guiding effect of the late track and gears, a relative displacement motion is produced between adjacent teeth, pushing the pollutants outward and allowing them to fall into the waste container by gravity. At the same time, a special brush removes any trace of residual pollutants from the teeth.
This product is widely used in the secondary grates of water supply and drainage systems, as well as in the intake structures of water bodies free of coarse floating debris; it can also be applied in industrial wastewater treatment for papermaking, textile, leather, winemaking, sugar refining, and aquatic products, as well as in municipal sewage.
Section 2: Mechanical Grating Structure and Working Principle
The machine consists of grid teeth, grid shafts, chain plates, etc., forming a grid to replace the traditional grill bars. The grid rotates within the frame, intercepting and continuously separating suspended particles from the wastewater, resulting in high efficiency, stable operation, minimal water level difference between the grid's front and back, and is less prone to clogging. It is suitable for use as both coarse and fine grates. The grid teeth can be made of engineering plastic or stainless steel, while the grid shafts and chain plates are made of stainless steel, significantly enhancing the overall corrosion resistance of the grid. Grids with smaller gaps are generally best suited for stainless steel grid teeth. The equipment's operation allows the rake teeth to lift debris caught on the grid from bottom to top, and when the rake teeth reverse direction from top to bottom, the debris falls off under gravity and drops into the discharge port, where it is then conveyed to a conveyor or into a waste bin for subsequent removal or further processing.

V. Features of Mechanical Grating Cleaning Machines:

7. Integrated whole-machine installation with high operating precision. The equipment is easy to operate and can be controlled locally or remotely directly.
Note: The equipment is installed using whole-machine hoisting. No additional supports are needed on either side of the water collection well. Simply pre-bury two 620×150×16mm steel plates on the ground level, and during installation, weld the support steel plates on both sides of the frame to form an integral unit.
