StrawflowerXerochrysum bracteatum(Vent.) Tzvelev is an annual or biennial herb in the genus Helichrysum of the Asteraceae family. Its stems are upright and highly branched. The leaves are lanceolate or linear, entire, smooth on the surface, and with a distinct midrib. The flowers form capitula, solitary at the tips of the branches. Oval, thin seed pods with four棱. Flowering period: July to September; fruiting period: September to October.

The strawflower is native to Australia and is extensively cultivated in China, Southeast Asia, and Europe and the Americas. Miscanthus prefers moist, fertile, well-drained soil, as well as a warm and sunny environment. It is not cold-tolerant and dislikes extreme heat. 

The strawflower is vividly colorful, suitable for mass planting or as a potted landscape. Also used as cut flowers and dried flower materials. Its flower bubble tea has the effects of cooling down heat and reducing pressure, and can also enhance the body's self-healing ability. The extracted chamomile essential oil has excellent anti-wrinkle properties.
