It is widely used in air pollution control. The honeycomb activated carbon adsorption method involves contacting waste gases with highly porous activated carbon with a large surface area, where pollutants in the waste gases are adsorbed and decomposed, thereby achieving purification.

Application

Honeycomb activated carbon is widely used in various gas purification equipment and waste gas treatment projects. Practice has proven that its purification effect is superior to that of ordinary activated carbon. Pollutants that can be removed to varying degrees with honeycomb activated carbon include: nitrogen oxides, carbon tetrachloride, chlorine, benzene, formaldehyde, acetone, ethanol, ether, methanol, acetic acid, esters, styrene, phosgene, malodorous gases, and various acidic and alkaline gases.

Instructions for Use

可直接 utilize or place in a purification cabinet or adsorption bed. In cases of high waste gas concentration and large discharge volume, two purification cabinets or adsorption beds can be alternated for use. During operation, avoid excessive temperatures as high temperatures can reduce the adsorption capacity, which decreases with rising temperature; also, avoid high dust and oil mist content as asphalt dust can block the micropores of activated carbon, increasing resistance and diminishing the adsorption efficiency. If the operating environment contains a significant amount of dense dust and asphalt, a preliminary dust removal filter should be installed to achieve the desired performance and lifespan.

After water treatment and secondary firing, the honeycomb activated carbon boasts high strength, resistance to water, strong acids, and strong alkalis, and can be widely used in wastewater treatment, organic solvent recovery adsorption, and as a carrier for various catalysts.
