Spherical Activated Carbon
Spherical Active Carbon (SAC), featuring a spherical shell structure made of active carbon material, at least one layer thick. The inner core is spherical and can be made from inorganic materials different from the shell. The diameter of the spherical shell can reach 10mm, with a wall thickness of not less than 0.5mm, typically 1-1.5mm.
Introduction
The spherical activated carbon disclosed in this utility model, due to the core body being made of inorganic materials different from the spherical shell material, can achieve a specific surface area of up to 500-1000 m²/g. This is conducive to fully utilizing the material properties of the spherical activated carbon. Additionally, because the fluid flow channels formed between the spherical activated carbons have good fluid mechanics, the pressure drop across the activated carbon layer is low, making it particularly suitable for fixed bed gas treatment devices with a high height of activated carbon stacking layers in the bed.
