Plate-type condensers are a new type of high-efficiency condensers made up of a series of metal plates with a certain corrugated shape. The thin rectangular channels are formed between the plates for heat exchange. Plate heat exchangers are ideal equipment for liquid-liquid and liquid-vapor heat exchange. They feature high heat exchange efficiency, minimal heat loss, compact and lightweight structure, small footprint, easy installation and cleaning, broad application, and long service life. In the same pressure loss conditions, the footprint is one-third that of a tubular heat exchanger, and the heat recovery rate can reach over 90%.

The plate-type condenser consists of a set of corrugated metal plates with holes for the two heat transfer liquids to pass through. The metal plates are mounted in a frame with a fixed plate and a movable clamp plate on one side, and are secured with clamping bolts. Sealing washers are fitted on the plates to seal the fluid channels and guide the fluids alternately into their respective channels.
