A plate-type condenser is a new, high-efficiency condenser made up of a series of metal plates with a certain corrugated shape. The thin rectangular channels between the plates facilitate heat exchange. Plate heat exchangers are ideal for liquid-liquid and liquid-vapor heat exchange. They feature high heat exchange efficiency, minimal heat loss, compact and lightweight structure, small footprint, easy installation and cleaning, wide application, and long service life. In the same pressure drop, their footprint is one-third that of tubular heat exchangers, and the heat recovery rate can reach over 90%.
The plate-type condenser is composed of a set of corrugated metal plates with holes, through which two liquids for heat transfer pass. The metal plates are mounted in a frame with a fixed plate and an adjustable clamp plate on one side, and are clamped together with bolts. Sealing washers are installed on the plates, sealing the fluid passages while guiding the fluids alternately into their respective channels.
