The Z2 series motor is a general-purpose DC motor for industrial use. Its motor is suitable for electric drives with a constant power speed regulation range not exceeding 1:2 and overload capacity not exceeding 1.5 times the rated torque. It can also be used in metal-cutting machine tools, papermaking, dyeing and weaving, printing, cement, and other industries. The generator can serve as a power source, lighting, or other constant voltage supply. The voltage regulator generator is also suitable for charging and floating charging of large lead-acid batteries.
To accommodate wide-range constant torque voltage regulation, speed regulation, and speed control, the Z2 series has developed derivative structures with strong wind and strong wind with tachometer machines, which have electrical specifications identical to those of the Z2 series motors. However, Z2 motors equipped with a riding fan or both a fan and a tachometer generator feature a compact structure and can operate at low speeds for extended periods, further enhancing the wide speed regulation range and speed control advantages of DC motors. To meet the requirements of constant torque speed regulation of the motor, Z2 series generators can be manufactured as separately excited generators with various excitation voltages for voltage regulation, with excitation voltages depending on the excitation power source, ranging from 110V to 220V, or other suitable voltages.
In addition, the Z2 series has also derived some special specifications to cater to various other specific needs.
1. ZT2 High-Speed Variable Frequency Motor: The motor's constant power magnetic speed adjustment range is 1:3 or 1:4, providing convenience for applications requiring a wide speed range while supplied by a constant voltage power grid. To reduce ventilation losses at high speeds, ZT2 models above the 7th frame are generally equipped with forced ventilation.
2. ZT2 Special Voltage Motors: Motors rated at 180V, 340V, and 440V are suitable for single and three-phase silicon-controlled rectifier power supplies. Generators rated at 275V and 460V can be used as power sources for mine traction drives and other applications requiring special voltage power supplies.
3. ZO2 Enclosed Motor: Fully enclosed design, suitable for special environments requiring dust protection.
4. To meet specific requirements, the Z2 series can also derive motors and generators with compensating windings. In this case, the overload multiple can be increased to about 2.5 times the rated torque, and the armature circuit time constant can also be reduced, making them suitable for high-power servo systems or applications requiring a large overload torque. Currently, some specifications are available for frames 8 to 11. If needed, further development is possible.
