SMT assembly refers to the abbreviated name for a series of processing procedures performed on a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) base.
SMT stands for Surface Mount Technology, a popular technique and process in the electronic assembly industry. Surface Mount Technology (SMT), also known as surface mounting or surface assembly technology, involves mounting leadless or short-lead surface mount components (abbreviated as SMC/SMD, known as chip components in Chinese) onto the surface of a printed circuit board (PCB) or other substrates, and then soldering and assembling them using methods like reflow soldering or dip soldering.
In most cases, the electronic products we use are assembled by PCBs and various electronic components such as capacitors and resistors, following the circuit diagram design. Therefore, a variety of electrical appliances require different SMT surface mount technology processes for manufacturing.
