Parts (DLC) Coating - Where to Find Stainless Steel Surface Treatment - Stainless Steel Surface Treatment Manufacturer - (DLC) Coating Processing
DLC (Diamond-like Carbon), commonly referred to as such, is a material composed of graphite (SP2) and diamond (SP3). Graphite boasts excellent self-lubricating properties, while diamond is known for its hardness. Thus, it serves as a superior coating that enhances workpiece surface performance with self-lubricating capabilities. The typical thickness ranges from 1 to 2 micrometers, with a surface hardness up to HV2500 and a low friction coefficient. Our company, based on the material, movement, and stress conditions of different workpieces, employs various processes to fabricate different types of DLC coatings using our proprietary PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) method at low temperatures of 100 to 150 degrees Celsius, to accommodate different materials and their processing and stress conditions.
Sewing machine parts such as spinners, needle bars, and balance components, among others, can all be coated with DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) for components requiring rotational friction. This surface treatment offers hardening, wear resistance, and self-lubrication, enhancing the lifespan by 5 to 10 times.
