A forged steel check valve is a valve made from forged steel, featuring high strength, corrosion resistance, good sealing, high-temperature and high-pressure resistance, and a long service life. It is widely used in industries such as oil, chemicals, and power, primarily for cutting off or connecting media in pipelines, usually not for regulating flow.
Definition and Working Principle
The forged steel stop valve's closure (valve disc) moves along the valve seat's central line; the change in the valve seat orifice is directly proportional to the valve disc's stroke. Its operating principle involves rotating the valve stem to lift or lower the valve disc, thereby controlling the fluid's flow or cutoff. When the valve disc is open, the fluid can flow smoothly through the valve body; when it is closed, the fluid is blocked. Due to the metal-to-metal sealing structure between the valve disc and seat, it offers excellent sealing performance and effectively prevents fluid leakage.
Structure and Classification
Forged steel check valves are typically composed of components such as the valve body, cover, stem, disc, and seat. Depending on their structural characteristics and application scenarios, forged steel check valves can be categorized into various types, including straight-through, angle, inline, and plunger styles. The straight-through check valve is suitable for general pipeline systems; the angle check valve is used for situations requiring a change in fluid direction; the inline check valve is suitable for applications with low flow resistance requirements; and the plunger check valve is used for high-pressure sealing needs.
Application Scenarios & Advantages
Forged steel gate valves are suitable for pipeline or equipment in high-temperature, high-pressure media, such as high-temperature, high-pressure pipelines in power plants and petrochemical systems, and can also be used for various media such as water, steam, and oil products. Their advantages include:
Good sealing: Utilizes a metal-to-metal sealing structure for reliable sealing performance, effectively preventing fluid leakage.
High Temperature and Pressure Resistance: Made from forged steel, it can withstand high temperatures and pressures.
Simple structure: Easy to install and maintain, suitable for various industrial applications.
