
Hard-seated ASME lug butterfly valve is a valve that connects to two pipe flanges using double-ended bolts, also known as lug-type butterfly valve or single-gripping butterfly valve. Its structural features include lugs around the valve body, designed in a flanged structure with bolt holes, suitable for fire protection piping, drainage, sewage, food, heating, gas, ship, hydroelectric power, energy systems, light industry, and textiles, etc.
Working Principle
The hard-seated ANSI flanged butterfly valve operates with a circular butterfly disc as the shut-off element, opening, closing, and adjusting the fluid passage by turning the valve rod. When the butterfly disc rotates to 90°, the valve is fully open, at which point only the thickness of the butterfly disc presents resistance to the fluid flow, resulting in very low flow resistance.
