Liquefied gas storage tanks are pressure vessels, and the country requires an annual inspection (the national recommended service life for simple pressure vessels is 10 years). Since inspections are conducted, there are products that pass or fail. Generally, due to improper use procedures or inadequate maintenance, companies may find their liquefied gas storage tanks fail inspections and need to be forcibly decommissioned. As these tanks are special equipment, decommissioning requires a specific process. Air compressor liquefied gas storage tanks are often considered safe special equipment, but if any stage of manufacturing, design, installation, or usage management is not standardized, accumulated hazards could lead to explosion accidents or even more severe consequences. Therefore, we must follow the operational procedures for our air compressor liquefied gas storage tanks, avoid shortcuts, or purchase cheaper tanks from unqualified manufacturers. Tanks up to 1 cubic meter with a capacity of 10 kg or less are considered simple pressure vessels and do not require inspection; the national regulation stipulates a 7-year exemption from inspection starting from the date of manufacture on the label, but this applies only to the tank body itself.
Usage Instructions
1. Cylinders must be stored in well-ventilated areas, with a minimum distance of 1.5 meters from any fire or heat source. Do not use fire to heat, scald with boiling water, or expose to direct sunlight. Regularly inspect the gas cylinder valves and pipeline joints for leaks, ensuring no gas escapes. Typically, check for leaks using soap and water, and strictly prohibit using an open flame for leak testing.
2. When lighting the device, ignite the primer first, followed by opening the gas; do not reverse the order. There should be someone supervising during use, and do not leave it unattended to prevent boiling water from overflowing and extinguishing the flame, which could lead to a gas leak and explosion. After using the gas cylinder, make sure to tightly close the valve to prevent gas leakage.
3. The liquefied gas inside the cylinder should not be completely depleted; there should be a certain residual pressure. The residual pressure should generally be greater than 49.03 kPa (i.e., 0.5 kg/cm2, gauge pressure) to prevent air from entering the cylinder. After the LPG is used up, the remaining residue inside the cylinder is also a flammable substance and should not be poured out自行. This is to prevent fires caused by the leakage and evaporation of the residue.

Moreover, as LPG is heavier than air, it tends to flow downwards upon leakage in the air, accumulating in low-lying areas and posing a hidden danger of gas explosion. Therefore, in areas where gas is prone to leakage, relying solely on window ventilation is insufficient; attention must also be given to lower-level ventilation.
6. Upon discovering a liquefied gas leak indoors, promptly open windows and doors for ventilation, allowing it to disperse in the direction away from any open flame. Strictly prohibit any fire-making activities in the vicinity. Only use the area after the fault is resolved and the distinctive odor has dissipated. Dispose of any leaked liquid on the ground by covering it with sand and soil before removing it to a safe location. In case of a gas cylinder fire, immediately close the valve, move it to an open area outdoors, and extinguish the fire using dry powder extinguishers, carbon dioxide extinguishers, or by covering it with a wet sack.
7. Educate children not to tamper with gas cylinders carelessly, and users must be aware of the safety knowledge for using gas cylinders.
