Circular plug valve, also known as round plug valve, is commonly used below circular discharge openings. The movement direction of its gate is perpendicular to the fluid direction, allowing only full open and full close positions, not for adjustment or throttling. The circular plug valve boasts advantages such as simple and compact structure, easy and flexible operation, small size, smooth flow path, and low flow resistance.
Structure and Working Principle
The main component of a circular plug valve is the plug, which moves perpendicular to the fluid direction. Manual operation allows for complete disengagement or alignment of the circular opening on the plug with the valve seat, thereby opening and closing the valve. This tight contact sealing method ensures excellent sealing performance when the valve is closed, effectively preventing medium leakage.
Application Scenario
Circular plug valves are widely used in industries such as metallurgy, construction materials, coal, mining, glass, light industry, and papermaking. They are often paired with unloaders and are suitable for adjusting ventilation and dust removal systems, air conveying, exhaust system pipelines, and for controlling and blocking the transport of solid powder materials. Additionally, the circular plug valve features a cutting function, which can scrape off adherent materials on the sealing surface. It is applicable under working conditions with pressure ranging from 1.0MPa to 2.5MPa and temperatures from -29℃ to 650℃.
