Structural Features
The manual extended rod knife gate valve is composed of components such as the valve body, valve plate (gate plate), valve rod, seals, and transmission mechanism. Its design is rational, easy to install and maintain. The bottom of the valve plate features a knife-type oblique cut, allowing the valve plate to effectively cut off the medium when closed, particularly suitable for media containing fibrous, pulp, slag, and other soft materials.
Working Principle
The manual extension rod knife gate valve operates by vertically moving the gate to control the flow and cutoff of the medium. To close the valve, manually operate the drive unit (such as a handwheel) to move the valve rod downward, causing the gate to slide down the valve body's guide track until the sealing surface of the gate tightly fits against the valve seat, thereby cutting off the medium flow. Conversely, to open the valve, manually operate the drive unit to move the valve rod upward, lifting the gate away from the valve seat, allowing the medium to pass through.
