I. Product Overview

The ADZHQ-B-1 type flame arrester is a safety device installed at the top of atmospheric storage tanks to prevent the spread of flames from flammable gases or liquid vapors and to guard against backfire, which could lead to an explosion.

The ADZHQ-B-1 type fire arrester is cast, featuring a compact structure and easy disassembly. It is often paired with breathing valves, elbows, and rain caps.

II. Working Principle

The core of the ADZHQ-B-1 type flame arrester is the corrugated flame arrester plate, composed of a type of stainless steel material that allows gases to pass through, featuring numerous tiny channels or gaps. The requirement is for the gaps or channels in the corrugated flame arrester plate to be as small as possible. Consequently, upon the flame entering the flame arrester, it is divided into many fine flame streams by the flame arresting elements. Due to the heat transfer effect (cooling of the gas) and the wall effect, the flame streams are extinguished.
