Application Scope
The eddy current separator is a new product independently developed and produced by our company. It is widely used for separating conductors and non-conductors with significant density differences in metal and non-metal materials from waste, commonly applied in the recycling of non-ferrous metals (such as aluminum, copper, etc.) in waste recycling industries, material sorting at waste recycling stations, and the sorting of electronic waste, among others.
Structural Principle
Electro-magnetic separation machines utilize the differences in magnetic induction intensity caused by the conductivity of various materials. The principle of their separation is based on a magnetic drum composed of magnets rotating at high speed, generating an alternating magnetic field. When conductive metals pass through this magnetic field, eddy currents are induced within the metal. These eddy currents create an alternating magnetic field opposite in direction to the one produced by the rotating drum. Non-ferrous metals (such as aluminum, copper, etc.) are repelled by this opposing force and are ejected along the conveying direction, separating them from non-metallic substances like glass and plastic, thereby achieving the separation goal.
