Application Scope
The eddy current separator is a new product independently developed by our company, widely used in the separation of conductors and non-conductors with significant density differences in metal and non-metal materials from waste, commonly applied in the recycling industry of non-ferrous metals (such as aluminum, copper, etc.) in waste recycling, sorting at scrap yards, and the sorting of electronic waste, among other industries.
Structure Principle
Eddy current separators are a sorting technology that utilizes the differences in magnetic induction intensity produced by the conductivity of various materials. The sorting principle involves a magnetic system drum made of magnets rotating at high speed, creating an alternating magnetic field. When conductive metals pass through the magnetic field, eddy currents are induced within the metal. These eddy currents generate an alternating magnetic field that is opposite in direction to the one produced by the magnetic drum. Non-ferrous metals (such as aluminum, copper, etc.) are ejected in the opposite direction due to the counteraction, thus separating from other non-metallic substances like glass and plastic, achieving the sorting goal.
