Modified Fiber Ball Filter
Modified Fiber Ball Filter Application Range
1. Widely used in recirculating water by-pass filtration, deep treatment of domestic water, boiler feed water treatment, pretreatment for reverse osmosis, and wastewater reuse filtration.
2. Suitable for coarse, medium, and fine filtration of oilfield produced water reinjection, as well as for the effluent treatment of oilfield and refinery wastewater.
3. Applicable for the recycling and filtration treatment of industrial wastewater, such as steel, thermal power, shipbuilding, papermaking, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, textiles, food, beverages, tap water, swimming pools, and other industrial and domestic water supplies.
4. Suitable for water treatment in purified water, seawater, brackish water desalination, centralized water supply projects, and urban wastewater treatment plants.
Modified Fiber Ball Filter Product Features
Modified fiber ball filters offer higher filtration accuracy compared to traditional filters like quartz sand: They have a high removal rate of suspended matter in water and effectively remove bacteria, viruses, large organic molecules, colloids, and iron impurities.
High filtration speed: typically 20-50 m/h, 2-3 times faster than other granular filter media (such as anthracite, quartz sand, magnetite, etc.). To achieve the same precision requirements, a single-grade modified fiber ball filter is used, while dual-media filters, sand filters, and others require two grades or more. To meet the same treatment capacity requirements, the tank diameter of the modified fiber ball filter needs to be much smaller, and the wastewater treatment standards are improved by one grade.
High waste interception capacity: Generally 5-15 kg/m³, more than double that of traditional quartz sand filters.
A. Modified fiber spheres have a fine diameter and a large specific surface area, reaching up to 2000㎡/g. Due to their fine diameter, the stacked filter layer has small pores, with a porosity exceeding 80% after stacking. This makes them highly effective at intercepting suspended particles, outperforming other filter materials. Therefore, they are particularly ideal for treating injection water in low-permeability oil reservoirs. They are also suitable for filtering water with high suspended solids for discharge and reuse.
B. Modified the fiber yarn to be hydrophilic and oleophobic, allowing water molecules to penetrate the surface of the modified fiber yarn when in contact with water, forming a water film that separates the yarn from oil; during backwashing, it can remove the substances adhered to the surface.Crude OilCleaned thoroughly, with excellent anti-washout and regeneration performance.
C. Modified fiber balls have a higher specific gravity than ordinary fiber balls and are non-sticky. Under hydraulic action during filtration, they can sink to the bottom of the tank, forming a well-structured filter layer with loose upper and tight lower layers. As the modified fiber ball filter media operates, the porosity of the filter layer gradually decreases in the direction of water flow, creating a satisfactory distribution of larger pores at the top and smaller ones at the bottom. This enhances the interception effect and improves the filtration performance.
Application Description: Under the same treatment volume and water quality standards, the modified fiber ball filter reduces equipment investment by over 50% compared to other filters (performance-to-price ratio) while improving the wastewater treatment standards by one level. The modified fiber ball filter media features a long service life.
