Compact Pressure Sphere Filter

Compact Ball Filter Description
The equipment offers high processing accuracy and is used for the fine filtration of oilfield produced water without gradation. The filter employs fiber sphere filter media, which is made from special fiber filaments synthesized with a new chemical formula. Its primary feature is the fundamental modification process that converts the oil-attracting fiber filter media into water-attracting. This product is applied in the fine filtration of oilfield produced water, featuring non-adhesive fibers that are easy to backwash and regenerate, and high filtration precision. Conversely, ordinary fiber sphere filter media, once contaminated by oil, turns into a large oil blob, making it impossible to clean the fibers thoroughly.

Tightness Ball Filter Features
A. Modified fiber spheres have a fine diameter and a large specific surface area. Due to the fine diameter of the fiber, the stacked filter layer has smaller pores, offering superior interception of suspended particles compared to other filter materials. Therefore, it is quite satisfactory for treating injection water in low-permeability oil reservoirs.
B. The fiber yarn has been modified to possess hydrophilic and lipophobic properties, enabling it to effectively remove adhered substances during backwashing.Crude OilCleaned thoroughly with excellent anti-washout regeneration performance.
C. Modified fiber balls have a higher specific gravity than regular fiber balls and are non-adhesive to oil. During filtration, they sink to the bottom of the tank, with a well-structured upper loose and lower tight filter layer. The modified fiber ball filter medium has a decreasing pore rate along the direction of water flow when in operation, creating a satisfactory distribution of larger pores at the top and smaller pores at the bottom. This enhances the intercepting effect and improves the filtration performance.
In practical applications, we have improved the internal structure of the fiber ball filter, adding a structure to prevent filter medium loss and enhancing both the support's flow capacity and strength.
In response to variations in wastewater volume, to prevent the filter layer from not being adequately compacted, we have improved the internal structure of the filter equipment. We have designed a filter material compaction device, relocating the agitator mechanism from the top of the filter tank to the bottom, with the compaction device situated at the top of the tank. During operation, the compaction device activates, the pressure plate descends to a certain position, compacting the filter material. Wastewater flows from top to bottom through the filter layer. When backwashing begins, the compaction device activates, the pressure plate rises, and the backwashing pump starts, flushing the filter layer. This ensures a stable and dense pore structure of the filter layer, which is more conducive to the removal of suspended particles, guaranteeing the stability of the fiber ball filter's filtration accuracy.
Compared to other filters, modified fiber ball filters offer high filtration precision – with incoming water containing 30mg/L oil and suspended solids at 30mg/L, the modified fiber ball filter can achieve an effluent with oil <2mg/L, suspended solids <2mg/L, and particle size <2μm (compressed filters can reach oil <1mg/L, suspended solids <1mg/L, and particle size <1μm). They also feature fast filtration speed and high treatment capacity – the filtration rate for modified fiber balls is up to 15-30m/h. To achieve the same precision, a modified fiber ball filter requires only one stage, while a single-media filter or sand filter requires two or more stages. To meet the same treatment capacity, the tank diameter of a modified fiber ball filter is much smaller. Practical applications show that under the same treatment capacity and incoming water specifications, the modified fiber ball filter can reduce equipment investment by over 50% (performance-to-price ratio) compared to other filters, and improve the wastewater treatment standards by one level. The modified fiber ball filter media also boasts a long service life.
