Equipment Overview

MBR is a wastewater treatment process that combines membrane separation technology with traditional activated sludge process. It utilizes MBR flat sheet membrane modules placed in the aeration tank, where water treated through aerobic aeration and biological processing is then pumped through a filter membrane for extraction.

The presence of the MBR membrane significantly enhances the system's solid-liquid separation capabilities, resulting in a substantial increase in effluent quality and volume load. The water quality after membrane treatment is high, and after disinfection, it forms high-quality, biologically safe recycled water that can be used as new water sources directly. Due to the membrane's filtration action, microorganisms are retained within the MBR bio-reactor, achieving separation of hydraulic retention time from the active sludge age, thereby eliminating the sludge bulking problem associated with traditional activated sludge processes. The MBR bio-reactor boasts high removal efficiency for pollutants, strong nitrification capabilities, effective simultaneous nitrification and denitrification, stable effluent water quality, low sludge production, compact equipment, minimal land occupation (only 1/3-1/2 of traditional processes), easy expansion, high level of automation, and simple operation.
