Working Material: Hot air enters the dryer drum from the hot air furnace, and the material is introduced through the feed port. Inside the dryer, the material is lifted by the distributor plates, where it comes into contact with the hot air, carrying away the moisture from the material. The material exits through the discharge port, while the hot air is drawn out from the top. The movement of the material is primarily propelled by the action of the distributor plates.

Tumble dryer, which cannot operate independently, usually requires additional equipment such as: heat source (hot air furnace), fan, sand separator, and dust removal equipment.

The drum dryer itself consists of the drum body, feed opening, discharge opening, sprocket, and light ring.
