Overview

The AOCON Conductivity Meters are highly cost-effective, featuring strong environmental adaptability, an LCD display, simple operation, and excellent testing performance. They are widely applicable for continuous monitoring of conductivity values in solutions across various industries such as thermal power, chemical fertilizers, metallurgy, environmental protection, pharmaceuticals, biochemistry, food, and tap water.

The AOCON Conductivity Meters simplify functionality while maintaining performance, offering exceptional price advantages. With electrodes set at a constant of 1.0 or 10, they can measure the conductivity of most liquids; with electrodes set at 0.1 or 0.01, they accurately measure the conductivity of pure or ultra-pure water, particularly suitable for online continuous monitoring of high-purity water conductivity in power plant boiler feed water and steam condensate.

Electrode selection

Selecting a constant electrode appropriate to the measured water sample's conductivity range is crucial for accurate measurement. Particularly for pure water (<3μS/cm) and ultra-pure water (<1μS/cm), using a 0.1 or 0.01 electrode is required, and a sealed measuring chamber should be added if necessary to achieve precise measurements; otherwise, significant errors may occur.

Basic Principles for Choosing Electrodes: Select an electrode with an appropriate constant based on the conductivity range of the water sample being tested, referring to the table below. A common mistake when choosing electrodes is "selecting an electrode with a high constant to measure low conductivity." For example, using a 1.0 constant electrode to measure water samples with <3μS/cm conductivity is not possible to obtain an accurate value. Because low conductivity media have poor conductivity, using an electrode with a high constant will only result in a weaker and less stable electrical signal, inevitably increasing the measurement error significantly.

Conductivity measurement range with various electrodes

Measurement Range, Electrode Constant, Electrode Model, Notes

     电导率测量仪表

0.01~20 μS/cm; 0.01 AODDJ-0.01 requires a measuring chamber for flowing enclosed measurement.

    0.1~200μS/cm 0.1 AODDJ -0.10

    1~2000μS/cm 1.0 AODDJ -1.00

    10~6.0mS/cm 10 AODDJ -3.0

When measuring outside the range listed in the table, the error will increase. When the medium conductivity value is >100μS/cm, it is advisable to use platinum black electrodes with constants of 1.0 or 10 to increase the effective area, significantly reducing the current density on the electrode surface, thereby effectively mitigating the electrode polarization effect that is prone to occur when the medium is a concentrated solution.

The electrode constant set in the meter must match the constant marked on the electrode. If the electrode constant marked on the electrode provided is 0.102, then the electrode constant set in the meter must also be 0.102.

2. For through-flow installations, if the outer diameter of the inlet and outlet pipes (φ8, φ10, and φ12 sizes) or whether to use a flexible or rigid hose is not specified, a φ10 flexible hose connector will be provided.

3. Instruct on the installation method for electrodes and secondary instruments.

4. Please specify any special requirements.
