Composition of white carbon black

White carbon black is generally categorized into precipitated and vapor-phase types. Vapor-phase white carbon black is a white, amorphous, fibrous, semitransparent gel-like nanoparticle (particle size less than 100nm) under normal conditions, it is non-toxic with a vast specific surface area. Product purity can reach up to 99%, with particle sizes ranging from 10 to 20nm, but its preparation process is complex and expensive. Precipitated white carbon black is further divided into traditional and special precipitated types. The former is produced using water glass as the basic raw material, while the latter is produced using special methods such as ultra-gravity technology, sol-gel method, chemical crystallization, secondary crystallization, or reverse micelle microemulsion method. Precipitated white carbon black is mainly used as a reinforcing agent and abrasive for natural and synthetic rubber. Vapor-phase white carbon black is primarily used as a reinforcing agent for silicone rubber, as well as a thickener for paints and unsaturated resins. Gels and aerogels are mainly used as matting agents, thickeners, and opening agents for plastic films in paints.

White carbon black, as an environmentally friendly and high-performance additive, is primarily used in the rubber products industry (including high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber), textiles, papermaking, pesticides, and food additives.
