Under normal circumstances, a replacement should be made once a year, but regular inspections are required. Most generators come with a winter preheating feature, which can be activated when temperatures are low to prevent issues like difficulty starting or failure to start during operation. This preheating function is not necessary to be activated during summer or in warmer temperatures.

Different antifreeze fluids must be added in different regions:

In the north, the average temperatures are consistently lower than in the south, with some areas potentially seeing temperatures drop below -30 degrees Celsius. Therefore, when selecting antifreeze in these regions, it is crucial to choose a model rated for temperatures below -35 degrees Celsius. Additionally, it is necessary to maintain antifreeze in the radiator year-round, rather than simply refilling with water.

In the central region of our country, taking the surrounding areas of Jiangsu as an example, the majority of temperatures throughout the year are above freezing, with only one to two months experiencing below-freezing temperatures, and these do not drop below -10 degrees Celsius. Therefore, when selecting antifreeze, a product rated for -15 degrees Celsius is sufficient.
