Safety nets are protective nets set below or to the sides of construction equipment for high-altitude construction or skill performances to prevent accidents caused by human or object falls. They consist of the net body, edge rope, tie rope, and reinforcement rope. The net body is made by knotting rope, featuring diamond or square mesh patterns. The mesh size refers to the distance between adjacent knots in the knitted material. The rope around the four edges of the net body is called the edge rope. The size (nominal size) of the safety net is determined by the size of the edge rope; the rope used to secure the safety net to the support is known as the tie rope. Additionally, any rope used to enhance the strength of the safety net is collectively referred to as the reinforcement rope.

Usage Requirements

(1) Inspection of the net includes: No construction debris should remain inside, no items should be piled beneath, the net should not exhibit severe deformation or wear, and it should be checked for contamination from chemicals, acid, alkali smoke, and welding sparks.

(2) The bracket must not exhibit severe deformation or wear, and its connecting parts must not show any looseness. The connections between the nets and between the nets and the bracket must also not allow for any looseness. None of the ropes used for binding should cause severe wear or deformation.

(3) Regularly clean debris within the net. Maintain the net's cleanliness. Also, avoid large amounts of sparks from welding or other sources falling into the net, and steer clear of high-temperature or steamy environments. In case the net is contaminated by chemicals or the rope is embedded with coarse sand particles or other abrasive objects, it must be washed immediately. Let it air dry after washing.

(4) The safety net must not be handled using hooks or tools with sharp edges to prevent damage to the rope. The net should be stored in a warehouse or facility, categorized and batch-stored on shelves, and must not be randomly piled. The warehouse must meet conditions such as ventilation, light shielding, heat insulation, moisture resistance, and protection from chemical erosion. Regular inspections of the net are also required during storage, with any issues addressed immediately to ensure safety.
