    Quality Standards for 3D Welding Platforms

    The working surface of the three-dimensional flexible welding platform must not have defects such as blowholes, cracks, inclusions, shrinkage, scratches, dents, rust spots, etc., which significantly affect the appearance and performance.

     

    The casting surface of the 3D flexible welding platform should be properly sand-molded and smooth, with paint that adheres securely.

     

    On flat surfaces with accuracy grades 0-3, sand holes with diameters less than 15mm are permitted to be plugged with the same material, with a hardness less than that of the surrounding material. No more than 4 sand holes should be present on the working surface, and the distance between the sand holes should be less than 100mm.

     

    4. The three-dimensional flexible welding platform should be manufactured from fine gray cast iron material, with a working surface hardness of 170-220HB.

     

    5. The working surface of the three-dimensional flexible welding platform should be processed using a scraping technique. For the 3rd-grade flat surface processed by scraping, the maximum allowable surface roughness Ra is 5 μm.

     

    6. The flatness tolerance of the working surface of the 3D flexible welding platform is illustrated in the figure.

     

    7. The working surface of the 3D flexible welding platform should employ scraping technology and be subjected to color-matching inspection. For the working surfaces of 3-grade platforms processed by scraping, the difference in the number of contact points within a 25mm x 25mm area should not exceed 5 points. In case of disputes, the ratio of contact point area shall be the basis for assessment.

     

    8. The vertical tolerance on the side of the three-dimensional flexible welding platform to the working surface, as well as the vertical tolerance between adjacent flat surfaces, is both Grade 12 as specified in GB/T1184.

     

    9. The three-dimensional flexible welding platform features a concentrated load area with a rated load of 1000N and an allowable deflection of 4um/1000N.

     

    10. The 3D flexible welding platform should be demagnetized and treated for stability.

     

    11. The three-dimensional flexible welding platform should have threaded holes (or cylindrical holes) for handle or lifting ring installations on both side surfaces, with the design of the installation position aimed at minimizing deformation caused by handling.

     

    All unresolved matters shall be implemented in accordance with JB/T7974-1999.
