What are the characteristics of mortar pumps?

A mortar pump is a versatile pump capable of adapting to various working conditions, such as transporting acidic, alkaline clear liquids or slurry; various corrosive slurry in the metallurgy industry; various dilute acids in the sulfuric acid industry; and various wastewater in the environmental protection industry. This pump is both corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant, with a wide range of applications. It features the following characteristics:

Superior Abrasion Resistance:

All overcurrent components are manufactured using steel-lined ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE), which boasts the highest wear resistance among plastics. It is four times more wear-resistant than nylon 66 (PA66) and PTFE, and up to 7-10 times more wear-resistant than carbon steel and stainless steel.

2) Excellent shock resistance:

High molecular weight polyethylene boasts the highest impact strength among general engineering plastics, five times that of copolymers (ABS), and can maintain stability at temperatures as low as -196°C—a unique characteristic not found in any other plastic.

Excellent corrosion resistance:

The pump can withstand various corrosive media (acids, bases, salts) and organic solvents within a certain temperature and concentration range, having been immersed in 80 types of organic solvents ranging from 20℃ to 90℃ for 30 days. No abnormal phenomena were observed on the surface, and other physical properties remained almost unchanged.

4) Noise-Free

High molecular weight polyethylene has higher impact absorption than most plastics, excellent sound-dampening properties, thereby significantly reducing noise generated by liquid flow during transportation.

5) Safe and Reliable, Non-Toxic Decomposition:

The pump utilizes ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) with exceptional chemical stability, making it suitable for use in the food industry.

6) Low coefficient of friction:

The pump features an internal friction coefficient of just 0.07-0.11, thus exhibiting self-lubricating properties. Under water-lubricated conditions, its dynamic friction coefficient is half that of PA66 and polyoxymethylene (POM). When operating in sliding or rotating modes, its lubricity surpasses that of steel and brass lubricated with oil.

7) Excellent Anti-adhesion Properties

UHMW-PE exhibits excellent anti-adhesion properties, comparable to PTFE in its anti-adhesive capabilities, thus performing exceptionally well in conveying media with high viscosity.

Construction activities involving the transportation of masonry or plaster mortar, pressure grouting operations at ports, docks, hydropower stations, foundation treatment, soft soil reinforcement grouting, backfilling grouting for tunnels, subway construction, and mining projects; bolt support.
