Classification and Applications of Chemical Pumps

Chemical pumps are widely used in industries, urban water supply and drainage systems, and can also be employed for agricultural and orchard irrigation and drainage. They are designed for transporting clear water or other liquids with similar physical and chemical properties to clear water.

Chemical pump classifications include the following types:

One, based on the different materials of chemical pump, the following classification of application fields is made:

Chemical pumps (made of stainless steel) are widely used in the oil, chemical, metallurgy, synthetic fiber, food, and other industries for the conveyance of alkaline corrosive mediums.

Chemical Pumps (made of fluoroplastic) are used for conveying any acidic, alkaline, or corrosive mediums.

3) Cast iron chemical pumps are used in industrial, urban water supply and drainage systems, as well as in agricultural and orchard irrigation and drainage, for transporting clear water or other liquids with similar physical and chemical properties to clear water.

Process pumps: including feed pumps, recirculation pumps, circulating pumps, flushing pumps, sewage pumps, supplementary pumps, and discharge pumps, etc.

Utility Pump: Includes boiler pumps, cooling tower pumps, fire-fighting pumps, and deep well pumps for water sources.

3) Auxiliary Purpose Pumps: Including lubricating oil pumps, sealing oil pumps, hydraulic transmission pumps, etc.

4) Pipeline Transportation Pumps: Oil pipeline pumps, loading and unloading vehicle pumps, etc.

III. Categorized by Working Principle and Structure:

1) Impeller Pump: A type of pump that uses the rotation of the pump shaft to drive various impeller blades, imparting centrifugal or axial force to liquids, and transporting them through pipes or containers, such as centrifugal pumps, vortex pumps, mixed-flow pumps, and axial-flow pumps.

2) Volumetric Pumps: Pumps that deliver fluids by utilizing the continuous change in volume within the pump cylinder, including reciprocating pumps, piston pumps, gear pumps, and screw pumps.

3) Other types of pumps: Electromagnetic pumps that utilize electromagnetic force to transport liquid conductors in a conductive state; pumps that use fluid energy to transport liquids, such as jet pumps, air lifters, and others.

IV. Categorized by the Transmission Medium:

1) Pumps: Including clean water pumps, boiler feed pumps, condensate pumps, and hot water pumps.

2) Corrosion-Resistant Pumps: Including stainless steel pumps, high-silicon cast iron pumps, ceramic acid-resistant pumps, impermeable graphite pumps, reinforced rubber-lined pumps, hard polyvinyl chloride pumps,屏蔽 pumps, diaphragm pumps, and titanium pumps.

3) Impurity Pumps: Including slurry pumps, sand pumps, sewage pumps, coal powder pumps, and slag pumps, etc.

4) Oil Pumps: Cold Oil Pumps, Hot Oil Pumps, Submersible Oil Pumps, Sludge Pumps, Liquid Hydrocarbon Pumps, etc.

V. Categorized by Usage Conditions:

1) High-flow and micro-flow pumps: flow rates of 300 m³/min and 0.01 L/min, respectively.

2) High-temperature and low-temperature pumps: High temperature up to 500°C, low temperature down to -53°C.

High-pressure and low-pressure pumps: High pressure up to 200 MPa, vacuum range of 2.66-10.66 kPa (20-80 mmHg).

4) High-speed and Low-speed Pumps: High-speed up to 24,000 r/min, low-speed 5-10 r/min.

5) Metering Pump: Flow measurement accuracy up to ±0.3%.

6) High Viscosity Pumps: Viscosity up to thousands of Pa·s
