How to Connect FRP Pipes:

Fiberglass piping has quietly seeped into all aspects of life, and its uses are diverse. So, when connecting these pipes, what method should we choose? Below, we introduce several methods that can be selected based on the actual situation.

1. Wrap Joints: This street-level technique involves aligning two pipes and then wrapping them with different sizes of reinforced materials (fiberglass cloth, felt, or felt with thickened yarn) soaked in resin to achieve the appropriate thickness and width. These joints offer good sealing properties and can withstand high internal pressure, commonly used for connecting straight pipes, elbows, tees, and reducers.

2. Expansion Joint: The design of this type of connection varies. Typically, one end of the pipe is shaped into a bell mouth expansion, into which the next pipe section is inserted. It is usually sealed with a circular (or other shaped) rubber gasket, hence sometimes referred to as an "O-ring" joint.

3. Casing Connection: This involves using a sleeve with a diameter slightly larger than the pipe, with the inner surface coated in mortar. The outer ends of the two glass steel pipes are also coated with mortar, followed by inserting the pipes into the sleeve. Once the mortar sets, the connection is ready for use.

4. Tube Fittings: This type of fitting simply involves placing a rubber sleeve over the mating ends of two pipes, securing the sleeve ends with stainless steel bands, and tightening with screws.
