The flywheel housing of the diesel engine is directly connected to the front cover of the generator with a shoulder locator, forming an integrated unit. It employs a cylindrical elastic coupling to drive the generator's rotation directly from the flywheel. The connection is secured by screws, making both components a single steel unit and ensuring the concentricity of the diesel engine's crankshaft and the generator's rotor remains within specified limits. The rated power of the internal combustion engine is limited by the mechanical and thermal loads of the components, while the rated power of the AC synchronous generator refers to the output power under rated speed during long-term continuous operation.
