Performance & Applications
1. Easily soluble in water, the solution is milky white. It is not resistant to strong acids, alkalis, heavy metal salts, and reducers. It penetrates quickly and evenly, offering good wetting, penetration, emulsifying, and foaming properties. The best penetration effect is below 40℃, and it is prone to hydrolysis when exposed to alkalis at high temperatures. It is advisable to treat the fabric with a penetrant first at temperatures below 40℃ before increasing the temperature. Penetrant T is not resistant to strong alkalis and should not be directly added to concentrated alkali solutions; instead, the alkali solution should be diluted first before adding Penetrant T.
2. This product is an efficient penetrant, suitable for treating cotton, linen, viscose, and their blended fabrics. After treatment, the fabric can be directly bleached or dyed without retting, improving dye defects caused by dead cotton, resulting in a softer and fuller hand feel of the dyed and printed fabric. During the pre-treatment bleaching process, it is best to remove the dye completely to ensure the penetration effect.
3. If too much foam is observed when using Surfactant T, a small amount of defoamer can be added, such as GP or octanol, tributyl phosphate, or similar defoamers.
4. For cotton dyeing; used in wettable powder of pesticides.
Packaging and Storage
200Kg/50Kg plastic drum packaging. Store and transport as general chemicals. Keep in a dry, well-ventilated area. Shelf life: 2 years.
