    The air cannon operates using air as its working medium, harnessing the principles of air dynamics. It employs a differential pressure device and a fast-acting exhaust valve capable of active control to instantly convert air pressure energy into kinetic energy of the air jet, generating a powerful impact force. It is a clean, pollution-free, and energy-efficient ideal cleaning device for removing blockages and ash. The air cannon utilizes a sudden burst of compressed gas, creating a high-velocity jet that exceeds the speed of sound and directly impacts the blocked area of stored bulk materials. This sudden release of an expanding shockwave overcomes the static friction of the material, restoring its movement within the container. It operates based on air dynamic principles, with air as the working medium, and uses a differential pressure device and a fast-acting exhaust valve that can convert air pressure energy into kinetic energy of the air jet, enabling the generation of a strong impact force.

    The air cannon is a widely used device with significant effects in industrial production. It is a specialized equipment designed to prevent and eliminate phenomena such as arching, clogging, sticking, and residual materials at various types of storage bins, hoppers, and pipeline junctions. It is suitable for cylindrical storage bins, hoppers, pipelines, and flat-bottomed stacks made from steel, concrete, and other materials, and is extensively applied in power plants, coal mines and underground coal storage, coal washing plants, cement factories, concrete processing plants, foundries, air cannon coking plants, gas plants, chemical plants, aluminum plants, alkali plants, steel mills, mines, ports, food, grain, and feed processing plants, boilers, and other important facilities for storing and transporting bulk materials.

    The Power Enhancement of the Air Cannon System is primarily aimed at ensuring the smooth logistics in coal storage of coal mines, guaranteeing the normal operation of the production system, and improving economic benefits. In response to the current failure modes of the air cannon de-clogging system, appropriate measures should be taken to enhance its reliability.

    The reliability of the progressive system's components is crucial for ensuring the system operates normally. Therefore, it is essential to correctly select the air cannon and reasonably confirm the maintenance system.

    How to Analyze Relevant Issues of Air Cannon Retrofit

    1. By opening the intake valve, air flows through S, S', into the cylinder sleeve, forcing the piston to move towards position C, sealing the cylinder body. Then, air passes through the check valve into the cylinder. Compressed air fills and stores in the cylinder through the check valve in piston B, at which point the assist flow device is in a ready-to-launch status.

    2. The solenoid valve is activated, closing the gas source hole A, and opening the exhaust hole O. The air in the cylinder sleeve is smoothly expelled. With no internal pressure in the cylinder sleeve, the air is compressed within the cylinder body, creating a pressure difference. The piston rapidly returns to the right, opening the exhaust pipe C, and the compressed air inside the cylinder is instantaneously released, impacting the material.

    Currently, the system is facing issues.

    Under normal conditions, when the air cannon is not in use, compressed air is continuously supplied into the air cannon tank. The majority of the air cannon's defects are due to poor sealing of the oil mist nozzles leading to oil leakage, or aging gaskets on the flange joints or loose connections causing air leakage. Because of the frequent rain in recent months, the coal used as fuel has been wetter. When burning wet coal, to prevent the original coal storage from overflowing, the operation staff have been inserting the air cannon every two hours. With frequent use, by the calculated date, the air cannon has experienced a total of 55 defects, and the majority of these defects are still related to oil leakage or oil deficiency. The air cannon is installed at a high position, and each defect requires the construction of a tall scaffold, consuming manpower and posing certain risks associated with high-altitude work. Therefore, to reduce the occurrence of air cannon defects and ensure the reliability of the air cannon equipment, it is necessary to renovate the air cannon system.

    As a powerful device for clearing blockages in bulk storage silos and pipeline materials, the air cannon's operation requires the coordinated action of related components, primarily including: the air cannon body (including the jet component), three-way solenoid valves, air cannon controller, and air cannon blowing tube, etc.

    1. Three-way solenoid valve: The normally open solenoid valve from SanTong is used to actively initiate the air cannon.

    2. Air Cannon Controller: A microcontroller with timing settings for controlling the action intervals of air cannons or for managing the sequence of multiple air cannon operations.

    3. Air Cannon Nozzle: In response to the situation where, after the air cannon breaks the material bridge, the material slides down the barrel wall (which can lead to adhesion or soiling of the barrel wall), our company has specially researched and equipped with various types of nozzle designs, primarily including straight jet, oblique jet, and tangential rotating jet, to allow customers to make the appropriate selection.

    4. Air管道配件: To ensure the proper operation of the air cannon and to extend its service life, the use of air filters, pressure regulators, and oil misters is recommended.

    5. Air Pipeline Check Valve: Prevents pressure drop due to issues in the inflation pipeline.

    6. Mounting Accessories: When the strength of the drum body is insufficient to support the weight of the air cannon, it is necessary to select appropriate straps and mounting for securing the air cannon.
