18Cr2Ni4WA is a high-strength medium-alloy carburizing steel. To prevent excessive carbonitride and austenite content, it can be carburized at 900~920℃ after carburization, tempered at 600~650℃, undergo cryogenic treatment, and oil quenched, achieving a hardness of around 48. To reach HRC 58-63, surface carburization is mandatory.
18Cr2Ni4WA steel is a commonly used alloy carburizing steel with high strength and toughness, good hardenability, and can also be used in non-carburizing and quenching conditions. It is generally used for important components with large cross-sections, high loads, good toughness, and low notch sensitivity.
