What's the outlook for ABS material?

ABS, developed as a general-purpose thermoplastic engineering plastic in the 1940s, is a highly versatile plastic with excellent mechanical properties. It boasts good rigidity, hardness, and processing fluidity, as well as high toughness, making it suitable for injection molding, extrusion, or thermoforming. The strengths of ABS resin include its impact resistance, sound insulation, and scratch resistance, with better heat resistance than PP and a more aesthetic appearance, especially in components requiring high impact resistance and strict operating temperatures. ABS resin is easy to process, with good dimensional stability and surface luster, allowing for simple painting and coloring. It also supports secondary processing functions such as metal spraying, electroplating, welding, and bonding, making it widely used in the electronics and electrical field, including various office and consumer electronics/electric appliances, such as data processors and office equipment. In the electronics and electrical market, ABS resin will maintain its position in the flame-retardant and high-heat-resistant market. Flame-retardant and high-heat-resistant ABS resin has a significant advantage in competition with ABS/PC engineering plastics. ABS resin is also widely used in the consumer goods field, such as building materials, pipes, boards, or sheets, although it has been partly replaced by the cheaper PVC resin. ABS resin is used in construction-related fields, including extruded sheets for sanitary products like bathtubs, swimming pool liners, and other injection-molded pipes and fittings, as well as a small amount of extruded telephone cable conduit.
