Disk Filter

Working Principle
Disk filters, also known as stacked plate filters or stacked plate type filters, are composed of parallelly arranged filter units. The main components of the filter units are a set of annular reinforced plastic filter disks with grooves or edges. The grooves between the top and bottom disk plates serve as the filtration and interception area. During filtration, wastewater enters from the outside, with the disks tightly pressed together within the unit. The rim formed by the grooves and edge of adjacent filter disks retains solid particles in the water; during backwashing, water flows from the inside of the annular filter disks to the outside, washing away the trapped debris from the filter disks and expelling it through the drain outlet.
