Drying Equipment

I. Overview:
The DW series belt dryers distribute the material to be processed through appropriate auxiliary devices, such as a star-shaped distributor, oscillating conveyor, crusher, or granulator, onto the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt passes through a channel composed of one or several heating units, each equipped with an air heating and circulation system. Each channel is equipped with one or several moisture-removal systems. As the conveyor belt passes through, hot air flows from top to bottom or bottom to top through the material on the belt, ensuring uniform drying of the material.
II. Features:
1. Adjust air volume, heating temperature, material residence time, and heating speed for improved drying results.
2. Flexible equipment configuration, compatible with belt cleaning systems and material cooling systems.
3. Most of the air is recycled, significantly reducing energy consumption.
4. The unique wind-dividing device ensures more even heat distribution, guaranteeing consistent product quality.
5. Heat sources can be steam, thermal oil, electricity, or coal (oil) hot air furnace systems.
Use:
The DW series belt dryers are continuous drying equipment for batch production, designed for drying materials with good permeability such as sheet, strip, and granular materials. They are particularly suitable for materials with high moisture content, like dehydrated vegetables and traditional Chinese medicine slices, where the material temperature cannot be excessively high. This series of dryers boasts the advantages of fast drying speed, high evaporation intensity, and high-quality product output. For pasty materials like dehydrated filter cakes, drying is possible after granulation or shaping into rods.
For dehydrated vegetables, a series of belt dryers are typically used to form initial, middle, and final drying sections. In the initial drying section, due to the high moisture content of the material and poor air permeability, a thin layer of material is used, with a faster running speed and higher drying temperature. If the material temperature is not allowed to exceed 60°C, the drying gas temperature in the initial drying section can be above 120°C but below this limit. In the final drying section, the material dwell time is 3-6 times that of the initial drying section, and the material thickness is 2-4 times. For materials requiring a temperature not to exceed 60°C, a drying gas temperature of around 80°C can be used. The use of a multi-section combined belt dryer can better utilize the drying performance of the belts, resulting in more uniform drying.
The DW Belt Dryer is suitable for drying blocky and large-grained materials such as asparagus, garlic, carrots, radishes, mushrooms, greens, bell peppers, pumpkins, tubers, bamboo shoots, and marine life. It is also ideal for drying traditional Chinese medicine, particularly for materials that cannot be dried at high temperatures. It allows for timely processing of seasonally sensitive vegetables, preventing spoilage and economic losses due to seasonal stockpiling. Additionally, the dryer employs a belt-through airflow heat recycling principle, offering excellent energy-saving benefits. It can adjust temperature and belt speed based on the moisture content and heat sensitivity of the material being dried, ensuring that the dried products maintain their original color, aroma, and flavor, preserving the inherent quality of the vegetables. Consequently, it provides both good economic and social benefits.
Based on the specific conditions of production output and moisture content, two DW2X12 dedicated belt dryers are used in series to form a drying process consisting of an initial drying section, a middle section, and a final drying section. To meet the processing capacity requirement of drying sweet potatoes at a rate of 750 kg per hour (initial moisture content of 65% and final moisture content below 5%), a total of one production line with two DW2X12 belt dryers in series is required, amounting to two DW2X12 belt dryers.
